!What I thought of blogging!

I liked it because we got out of the classroom and got to use computers. I also needed practice typind and the blogging helped with that a lot too. I liked being able to tell people about the book I was reading and trying to get them to read them. I hope we can do something like this again.

Scribble of dreams book review!

I recomend the book Scribbler Of Dreams, it is a really great book that has a great lesson to it.

Kaytlyn Hampton has been raised to The Crutchfield family. Her family's hate goes back a hundred years and hasn't been resolved yet. Then one day Kaitlyn's father is charged with murder for the death of Robert Crutchfield. After that the private school she goes to can't afford to pay for her anymore. With no school and no father Kaitlyn and her sister have to attend Twin Oaks High School, on land that belongs to the Crutchfields. Kaitlyn meets a boy and later finds that he is one of the Crutchfields. Kaitlyn does whatever she can to keep her identity from the boy, Bram, and keep her relationship with Bram Crutchfield from her family. With all the lies she tells she has to find a way to tell the truth and for everyone to understand the reason why she lied in the first place.

I would mostly recomend this book for anyone. It has a good plot and can teach you a lesson that can be very importnat to you in the future. I also love the book because in some ways I can relate to Kaitlyn. I also don't like the book because The story is a little to perfectly played out for me. I have a hard time realating and believing anything like this could happen. I really liked this book though. I recomend it to anyone. It is an easy read and a grest story.

Page 17:
"why did my father have to kill a Crutchfield? It was an accident of course. But who would believe it? The hatred between the Crutchfield and the Malones goes back five generations when the Crutchfiels sisters first parted ways."

Thoughts: This was the first explanation as to why the Malones hated the Crutchfields. Now that I'm more than halfway through the book it feels so unimportant.

Page 38: "'B.C.?' I asked.
He smiled. "Yeah. Bram- Bram Crutchfield.

Thoughts: I've known for a while that Bram was a crutchfield and that Kaitlynn was a Malone. When Kaitlynn finds out she does whatever she can to keep it secret because she used to hate the Crutchfields but she doesn't anymore and Bram still hates the Malones. I think that when Kaitlynn finally tells him the truth it will make her a stronger person even if he doesn't accept her that way.

Page 119:
"Just like before? Things would never be like before. Not for me. Not for any of us. And not ever, ever again would things be the same for the Crutchfields. Robert Crutchfield would never be returning home."

Description: Kaitlynn Malone's father just came home from prison for involuntary manslaughter. Her father had told her that now he was back everything was going to be the way it had been before he had murdered Robert Crutchfield.

Thoughts: This paragraph means a lot to me because I can relate to Kaitlynn. I sometimes have problems or issues within my family. Kaitlynn's problems may not be the same as mine but I can still relate.

Sorcress, what would I change?

There are a lot of things I would change in this book, but there is one main thing I would change. I would change the way that Mary's personality changes. I understand that when people get older they change a lot, but the way Mary changes makes it seem like she is loosing personality, she sounds boring and bleak. I lose interest in the story quickly. I think Mary's personality is guessed, not known, like it was in the first book (it was her journal). I think that with a new name, a new family, new surroundings, new point of views Mary loses her own opinions and feels like she needs to have the same thoughts as people around her. I know Mary is a strong and respectable person in her tribe, but she seems like she has little personality. I liked her in the first book because she wasn't as quick to judge, she was nicer and didn't participate in gossip around the settlement. Mary had plenty of personality as a child but lost is as she got older.

Sorcress (witch child II)

Sorceress is the second book to Witch Child.

Mary/ Eyes of wolf being accepted in the tribe reminds me a lot of me being accepted In Philipsburgh. Mary had to flee her town because she was suspected as a witch. She married a Native American and was accepted in the tribe. I am accepted in Philipsburgh even though I live in a larger town/city(I don't really know what to consider Columbia) with different customs. I am a lot different but they treat me no different. This connection helps me understand Mary's/eyes of wolf's position.

Princess Academy review

Of course, I love this book. I just finished it for the second time.

I think this book is excellent, every character has their own problems, their own unique personalities, it makes them very easy to relate to. Everyone has their own dreams they can relate to yours closely or distantly. This book is one of my favorites because I can relate so closely to the characters, even if they aren't crucial to the story.

Overall I'd give this book the highest rating possible. Although there is one flaw I would like to point out. At one point the book can go a little crazy, if you'd read it you may know what I'm talking about. I won't ruin it. It is improtant to the story though.

I love this book and I highley recomend it.

This was a very hard post, it's hard to convince people to read a book.well, for me it is.

Princess Academy- Mount Eskel

Place(s)~
In princess academy every little place makes a difference. There is the Academy, there is mount Eskel and there is the quarry.
The Academy: The academy is the place were every girl under 17 and 3 months can attend. It's were the girls are trained and taut how to be a princess. Not only that but it gives them other information that is use full to them in their everyday life.
Mount Eskel: Mount Eskel is the mountain were Miri lives, in Danland. Another area in Danland is called the lowlands. The lowlanders are thought better and more important than the mountain people. Without the Mountain people though, there would be no Linder. The linder is something very important to the kings and queens of the lowlands, they make their palaces of only linder. The linder is only found on Mount Eskel.
The Quarry: The quarry is a place Miri is forbidden to go when everyone else can. It's were they mine and cut linder. It's were the Quarry speech was discovered and what Miri is most curious about.

The time~
I think Princess academy is set in the past. It's hard to tell because it is not set in any place I know of, but the technology and techniques the mountain people use make me think it is in the past.

Notes~
I think the Setting of the book is the most improtant thing in the book. Every little detail of the land effects the charecters lives.
